Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Moment37 ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service").
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Moment37 is provided by the developer/operator ("we").
Contact: placeholder1009@gmail.com
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
A) Information you provide
Account and profile information:
- If you create an account or sign in (including Sign in with Apple), we may receive identifiers such as your Apple user identifier, email address (if you choose to share it), and profile details you choose to provide (for example, name and goals).
Nutrition and body data you enter:
- Weight, goal weight, activity level, nutrition targets, meal logs, notes, and other information you enter in the Service.
Food photos and related inputs:
- Photos you take or upload for food recognition and nutrition estimation, plus any edits you make (for example, portion size, extra sauce, and ingredient adjustments).
Support communications:
- If you contact support, we collect the contents of your message and any information you choose to share.
B) Information collected automatically
Device and usage data:
- Device type, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and app events (for example, screens viewed and feature usage).
- Crash logs and performance data.
Approximate location (coarse):
- We may infer your general region from IP address to provide the Service and prevent abuse. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly grant it for a specific feature.
C) Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit) - optional
If you choose to connect Apple Health or HealthKit, we may read and or write the Health data you authorize (such as weight, steps, workouts, and energy burned). Health access is optional and you can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or "tracking" as defined by Apple.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide core features (food photo recognition, calorie and macro estimates, meal history, goals, and progress visualization)
- Personalize targets and insights (for example, calorie and macro targets, trend summaries, and reminders)
- Sync your data across devices (if you use an account)
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Apple In-App Purchase)
- Improve accuracy, quality, and reliability (including model and feature improvement and debugging)
- Provide customer support and respond to requests
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations
4. AI processing and food photo handling
When you submit a food photo, we process it to estimate the meal's calories and macronutrients. This may involve sending the photo and associated context (for example, your portion edits) to AI processing providers.
- We do not sell your photos.
- We use photos and derived results only to provide features you request (for example, meal history and nutrition estimates).
- If you delete a meal or photo within the app, we will remove it from our active systems within a reasonable time, subject to backups and legal requirements.
Important: nutrition estimates are not guaranteed to be accurate and can vary based on ingredients, preparation, and portion size.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process your information under one or more of the following bases:
- To perform our contract with you (provide the Service)
- With your consent (for example, HealthKit access and optional features)
- For our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and product improvement)
- To comply with legal obligations
6. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
Service providers (processors)
We use trusted third parties to host, store, process, or analyze data, such as:
- Cloud hosting and databases (for example, Firebase and Google Cloud)
- Analytics and crash reporting (for example, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics)
- AI processing providers for photo recognition and text generation (for example, Gemini via Google)
- Customer support tooling (if used)
Payment and app platform providers
- Apple processes payments for subscriptions and may provide us purchase status (for example, active subscription, renewal, and refund events). We do not receive your full payment card details.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requests
- Enforce our terms, protect our rights, users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
We do not sell personal information.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance). Retention depends on what you use:
- Account data and logs: retained until you delete your account, plus a short period for security and legal needs
- Meal history and photos: retained until you delete them or delete your account
- Backups: may persist for a limited time even after deletion, then are overwritten or expired
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your device and account and use a strong passcode.
